Carmen Würth Forum Künzelsau

Designed by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin, the CARMEN WÜRTH FORUM opened in 2017 is an inspiring environment offering a wide range of event options, from intimate meetings to conferences, trade fairs, and concerts. It’s also home to a permanent art gallery, world-class sculpture garden, and is the principal performance and rehearsal space for the Würth Philharmonic.

Sound was important, and it needed to be as multifunctional as the spaces themselves. While many venues get away with a permanently installed sound system covering a permanent seating layout, the CARMEN WÜRTH FORUM has many different scenarios with completely different configurations for audience and stage.

The smart rigging hardware of the KLING & FREITAG SEQUENZA systems is an invaluable advantage here, as it allows splay angles to be preset with speaker cabinets lined up on the ground. When the speakers are hoisted in the air, they automatically lock into their final position.

From events such symphony concerts to very loud rock or pop concerts, the CARMEN WÜRTH FORUM relies on KLING & FREITAG SEQUENZA to deliver all possibilities in terms of sound.

“K&F SEQUENZA 5 and 10 are really ideal for our everyday life in this hall! Assembly and dismantling work perfectly, completed in minutes and regardless of the position, the systems simply sound good. Large adjustments and measurements are simply not necessary, as soon as the system hangs, it sounds great. When the stage is located on the long side of the room, we like to use K&F SEQUENZA 5 as the main system and the K&F SEQUENZA 10 to cover the longer throws to the left and right of the stage as the out fills. Thanks to the very homogeneous sound character this configuration also works perfectly. If anything needs to be corrected, it can be done quickly using the Lake Controller Software. We are very satisfied with our system. Quick to set up and to strike, easy to use, its sound is probably the best I’ve ever heard.”
