K&F SPECTRA INSTALL

With the K&F SPECTRA 212i, KLING & FREITAG expands the existing SPECTRA 212 line with a versatile installation model. Created specifically for wall and ceiling mounting, accessories further augment K&F SPECTRA 212i’s versatility, allowing it to be precisely aligned to all listening planes, either singly or in cluster.

As with all the models in the SPECTRA series, the K&F SPECTRA 212i includes the patented VariQ unit, enabling easy conversion from point to line source. The two different radiation characteristics N (60° x 30°) and XW (120° x 30°) enable an exact adaptation to the local conditions. K&F SPECTRA 212i lends itself to integration within architecturally demanding environments, or placed more prominently, bringing forward its unique visual profile. Besides the standard black colour, K&F SPECTRA 212i is available in all colors within the RAL palette on request.

Ceiling Bracket

The ceiling bracket allows for suspending single speakers vertically from a ceiling. It allows for continuous speaker down-tilt.

Flying Frame

The SPECTRA 212i flying frame is used for suspending (flying) K&F SPECTRA 212i speakers. You can use it for suspending a single speaker vertically or up to two speakers horizontally. When suspending two speakers horizontally, you will also need the K&F SPECTRA 212i connector set (line source) or the K&F SPECTRA 212i horizontal cluster set (point source). Optionally, you can use the flying frame in combination with the K&F450 rotation clamp for suspending the speakers.

Wall-Bracket Set

The K&F SPECTRA 212i wall-bracket set includes various components that can be combined in different ways to allow for mounting or suspending K&F SPECTRA 212i speakers to/from walls or ceilings.

Flying Connector Set

Allows for suspending a horizontal array of two SPECTRA 212i speakers in line-source mode. This setup allows for achieving various tilt angles. Using the connector flying set, you can suspend two interconnected speakers using the flybar (included with the set). The speakers are interconnected through the connectors. Using the appropriate flybar hole, you can adjust the desired speaker down-tilt as required. Repositioning the flybar shifts the grid by half the dimension, thus effectively doubling the achievable down-tilt options. Suspend the speakers using either K&F 450 rotation clamps or suitable shackles (3.25 t).

Connector Set

Connectors allow for connecting two speakers to build an array for operation in line-source mode. Interconnecting the speakers using the connectors allows for achieving the acoustically logical angle between the speakers for line-source operation. You can use the connectors for interconnecting the following speaker combinations:
• 2 x SPECTRA 212i N (directivity: 60° × 30° )
• 2 x SPECTRA 212i XW (directivity: 120° × 30°)
• 1 x SPECTRA 212i N and 1 × SPECTRA 212i XW

Horizontal Cluster Flying Set

Allows for suspending a cluster with two vertically arranged speakers in point-source mode. This setup allows for achieving various tilt angles. Using the horizontal cluster flying set, you can suspend two interconnected speakers using the flybar (included with the set). Cluster Plate Set

Cluster plates are used for clustering two SPECTRA 212i systems in point-source mode. This allows for achieving a larger overall directivity. The accessories allow interconnecting the speakers in acoustically logical angles. We recommend using the cluster plates for the SPECTRA 212i N speaker version only. Two SPECTRA 212i N speakers configured with cluster plates provide an overall directivity of 100° × 30°.
